Sustainable & Experimental Design

Experiential interior design (EID) is a new design approach based on environmental psychology emphasising human experiential needs. AMRM is striving to be a fully circular economic company and collaborating with vendors with the same ethos to push the boundaries of sustainable design. The main purpose of EID is to create engaging environmentally sustainable experiences. EID can be the perfect approach for both commercial and Residential design, it’s about thinking outside of the box and truly exploring what can be done with a space, to the greatest benefit of those who use it.

At AMRM we are experimenting with using natural, sustainable materials to push the boundaries of eco-design. We are conscious of the issues our world is facing today and value that we as designers have to take initiatives to build better, more sustainable environments. AMRM strives to not only focus on the surface elements but in our build too. We work with mycelium inside walls instead of chemical wall insulation treatments. We are striving to work with only eco-vendors who all have the same ethos in mind.

Working with Mycelium as a design material resource

We are doing a lot of interesting work with the mycelium material in terms of design. For a upcoming restaurant project 80% of the restaurant will be built using natural resources.
